Tyra Beamon is a change agent committed to transforming systems. As an advocate, she seeks to engage the community when developing solutions that move our society toward equity and social justice.
She graduated from Tuskegee University, earning her BA in English, and from Georgetown University with an MA in Educational Transformation. She has served as a teacher, student advocate, and Americorps member. Her experiences working in direct service with youth and young adults have given her perspective and an understanding of the needs and challenges of young people. Tyra is deeply committed to creating opportunities for youth and communities to thrive and reach their full potential.
