Kyla is a graduate of the University of the District of Columbia, where she received her B.A. in Political Science in 2021. After graduation, Kyla remained committed to mental health advocacy, public policy reform, and grassroots capacity-building within low-income and marginalized communities. Kyla is now the CEO of Klover Strategies LLC, a consulting firm founded in 2023 to ensure marginalized communities have access to strategic capacity-building support to mobilize liberation efforts.
She has been an active member of the District of Columbia State Advisory Group since 2019 (locally known as JJAG), where she served as Youth Chair between 2020 and Fall 2022. Kyla also serves on the Youth Leaders in Action (YLA) Committee, dedicated to acting as a bridge between youth and the community leaders.
