A Celebration of Joy: Through their Eyes
Artwork Submission Guidelines
Overview:
For more than 50 years, Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) has continued its unwavering commitment to advocating for children and families across the nation. As we move forward in 2025, we remain dedicated to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive. That’s why our next event is all about celebrating young people: their voices, their vision, and the power they hold to shape the future.
We are seeking emerging artists ages 16 to 25 from the Dallas-Fort Worth area to share original works that uplift their unique perspectives, creative expression, and lived experiences.
Whether you are a visual artist, performer, musician, or writer, we want to see the world through your eyes.
On October 9, 2025, Children’s Defense Fund-Texas (CDF-TX) invites you to be part of the A Celebration of Joy: Through Their Eyes—an evening dedicated to honoring the world as seen through the creative lens of children and youth.
This year’s theme invites artists to explore how they see the world and to imagine what’s possible when hope, joy, and dignity are centered in our communities.
