CDF-NY joined an amicus brief filed by national child welfare experts and advocates in Fulton, et al. v. City of Philadelphia, a case pending before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. In the brief, CDF-NY and the other organizations involved argue that religiously-affiliated child welfare agencies cannot be permitted to discriminate against same-sex couples in foster family certification because it violates foster children’s rights to placement in safe and loving families.
