Ohio Voters’ Guide for Children
October 8, 2020
Beginning just a few days ago and until November 3rd Ohioans will be voting in the General Elections for candidates at every level and local and state issues. Each of these choices represents priorities and what kind of future we want for our state, our communities, and children. The Children’s Defense Fund-Ohio has worked to create this non-partisan Voters’ Guide to provide voters with information on children in Ohio, policies that are supportive of their well-being, and questions Ohioans can pose to policymakers running for office to learn more about their plans and ideas to support children and families. This Guide is intended to spur thoughtful dialogue, ideas, and awareness building. The Guide focuses on the following areas:
- Child Health & Wellness,
- Child Nutrition,
- Child Welfare,
- Child Poverty,
- Education Equity, and
- Child Care & Early Education.
