    The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is a department within the California Health and Human Services Agency.  DHCS’ mission is to preserve and improve the health status of all Californians.  DHCS works closely with health care professionals, county governments and health plans to provide a health care safety net for California’s low-income and persons with disabilities.
  • Education Sector
    Education Sector is an independent think tank that challenges conventional thinking in education policy. We are a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to achieving measurable impact in education policy, both by improving existing reform initiatives and by developing new, innovative solutions to our nation's most pressing education problems. The ultimate beneficiaries of our work are students. Our mission is to promote changes in policy and practice that lead to improved student opportunities and outcomes.
  • Ella Baker Center
    The Ella Baker Center for Human Rights is a strategy and action center working for justice, opportunity and peace in urban America. Based in Oakland, California, we promote positive alternatives to violence and incarceration through our four cutting-edge campaigns.
  • Equal Justice Initiative
    The Equal Justice Initiative of Alabama is a private, nonprofit organization that provides legal representation to indigent defendants and prisoners who have been denied fair and just treatment in the legal system.
  • Excelencia in Education
    Excelencia in Education seeks to expand the national discourse on Latino student success in higher education. Starting with the following strategic partners, Excelencia is building network of concerned and active policymakers, practitioners, researchers, educators, students, and community based organizations.
  • Families USA
    Families USA is a leading advocate for affordable health coverage for everyone. They regularly publish reports and send action alerts on health care, including children's health coverage and health disparities.
  • Feeding America
    Feeding America is made up of individuals, local food banks, national offices, as well as corporate and government partners. It works to secure food and grocery products on a national level and distribute, as needed, to local food banks. In addition, Feeding America has a national reach and works to engage the public and raise awareness of childhood hunger on a national and local level.
  • Fight Crime: Invest in Kids
    Fight Crime: Invest in Kids is a national, bipartisan, nonprofit anti-crime organization of more than 3,000 police chiefs, sheriffs, prosecutors, other law enforcement leaders and violence survivors.
  • First Focus
    First Focus brings both traditional and non-traditional leaders together to advocate for federal policies that will improve the lives of America’s children. Child health, education, family economics, child welfare, and child safety are the core issue areas in which First Focus promotes bipartisan policy solutions.
  • Food Research and Action Center (FRAC)
    The Food Research and Action Network (FRAC) works to eradicate hunger and undernutrition across the country.
  • Foster Family-Based Treatment Association (FFTA)
    The Foster Family-based Treatment Association strengthens agencies that support families caring for vulnerable children.The Association’s membership is composed of agencies throughout North America currently operating treatment foster care programs.
  • Future of Children
    The Future of Children is a journal published twice a year with timely research on children for policymakers, service providers, and researchers.
  • Generations United (GU)
    Generations United is a national membership organization focused solely on improving the lives of children, youth, and older people through intergenerational strategies, programs, and public policies.
  • Georgetown Center for Children and Families
    The Center for Children and Families, part of the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute, publishes research on children's health and examines policies pertaining to children's health coverage (SCHIP, Medicaid).
