Donor-Advised Funds

Many people have chosen to establish donor-advised funds to direct charitable giving in a way that is more tax beneficial. Donor-advised funds can be established through a variety of financial intermediaries.

To make a gift to CDF through your Donor-Advised Fund, please use the tool to the right.

Gifts of Stock

Donating shares of stock to the Children’s Defense Fund is a meaningful way to contribute to the wellbeing of children.

An additional benefit of donating stock is that you receive charitable donation credit for tax purposes for the full face value of the stock, which is especially valuable of the stock has appreciated significantly since you purchased it. Donating stock also allows you to avoid capital gains tax.

Securities can be gifted to the Children’s Defense Fund by electronic transfer, in which your broker transfers shares using the Children’s Defense Fund’s DTC number. You must contact your broker to begin this process.

The information you need to make a donation is included below. Thank you for your generous gift.
