Experience hope for an evening. Stay inspired for a lifetime.

In America today, too many children are denied the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. Even as we work to change the odds for children, we meet young people every day who have Beat the Odds®. They inspire us and remind us we can never give up on any child.

Experience hope for an evening and be inspired for a lifetime as we honor Adeolu, Caleb, Diana, Jazmen, and Mikaela on Thursday, March 12 at the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, D.C. All proceeds from the gala will support the Children’s Defense Fund’s work across our many programs and initiatives in the Washington, D.C. region.

When you become a monthly donor, you will:

  • Improve the lives of all of America’s children year-round—24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Receive tickets to the 2020 Beat the Odds Awards Ceremony and dessert reception
  • Be recognized in our Beat the Odds Celebration printed program and event website
  • Receive an autographed copy of a book written by CDF’s founder, Marian Wright Edelman (as a thank you for your gift after 12 consecutive months)
