Ron Browder
Executive Director of CDF-Ohio
Mr. Ron Browder is the Executive Director of Children's Defense Fund-Ohio, where he is responsible for managing grassroots organizing and coalition building throughout the state of Ohio and serves as CDF-Ohio’s lead advocate on behalf of children to Ohio’s elected officials and policy makers.
Mr. Browder came to CDF-Ohio with more than 24 years of administrative and program experience with family and children service organizations. Before joining CDF-Ohio, he worked as a policy executive and as Bureau Chief for Child and Adult Protection, Adoption and Kinship Care within the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Prior to his tenure with the State, He was a caseworker with the Franklin County (Ohio) Department of Human Services.
Mr. Browder is the chair of the Advisory Board of the Ohio Grandparent and Kinship Care Coalition and a board member of the Ohio Foster Care Association. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Anthem Foundation, and is a member of the Columbus Rotary, the National Association of Social Workers, and Black Administrators in Child Welfare.
Mr. Browder received his M.S. in Educational Administration from the University of Dayton and his B.A. from Ohio State University. He is the father of two sons, James and Michael, and one daughter, Hattie-Breana.
