Starting this week, your Members of Congress will be back in your state for their "Congressional recess." When they return to Capitol Hill later in the month, they're going to start actually writing health care reform legislation in earnest. Will it be real reform or more of the same? It's up to us to ensure that we get comprehensive, affordable health care for everyone—especially all children—this year.

Across the country, CDF is working with the Health Care for America Now coalition to organize events during this Congressional recess with Members of Congress to make sure they know beyond a shadow of a doubt we need real health care reform and we need it now. The Children's Defense Fund is the leading voice for children within the coalition and we need your help to make sure someone is speaking up for children.

This is a grassroots campaign. We will win health care reform because you are willing to step up and be heard loud and clear. We've asked you in the past to take action, from sending an email to your Members of Congress, to calling them, to writing letters to the editor of your local newspaper. Your efforts have been crucial to building the momentum we see for health care reform on Capitol Hill today.

Now it's time to up the ante. Members of Congress need to see you face-to-face and to hear your voice in person to really drive home the message that America wants real health care reform now—especially for our children. When Members of Congress see how passionate and dedicated their constituents are about comprehensive, affordable health care for all, they will return back to Washington and pass the health care reform we so desperately need.
