The Challenge Before Us

CDF–Louisiana is sponsoring the second annual Cradle to Prison Pipeline Summit for Louisiana. All faith and community leaders, child advocates, early childhood and education, health/mental health, child welfare and juvenile justice professionals are invited to join the discussions in Baton Rouge. Members of the law enforcement community, elected officials, business leaders, parents and/or youth are also invited to participate. The Summit's goal is to develop powerful strategies to dismantle the Pipeline by examining potential solutions and creating a strategic plan for Louisiana.

Tentative Schedule

October 14, 2009
Opening Luncheon: 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Workshops: 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Children's Sabbath Service: 5:30 p.m. at StarHill Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

October 15, 2009
Opening Plenary Session: 8:30 a.m.
Luncheon: 12:00 p.m.
Workshops Session I: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

The National Association of Social Workers – Louisiana Chapter will offer Continuing Education Credits.
