Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute
“There is only one place to meet other child advocates, learn spiritual and advocacy skills to help child advocates stand firm and effective on hallowed ground—the Children’s Defense Fund’s Proctor Institute for Child Advocacy Ministry.”
Christine Kloker Young, participant since 2002
The 2018 Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Child Advocacy Ministry is July 16-20!
Welcome home! Every July hundreds of child advocates from across the country hear these words as they gather at the annual Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Child Advocacy Ministry. They come to build skills and share success stories in dismantling the Cradle to Prison Pipeline®, ending child poverty, and improving the lives of children in their communities.
The Institute provides spiritual renewal, continuing education, intergenerational movement-building workshops, and networking for people who share conviction that all great religious traditions call us to acts of love and justice especially for children who are impoverished, vulnerable, marginalized and excluded.
During the week of “preaching and teaching” at the picturesque CDF Haley Farm you will learn strategies and effective models to use in your faithful work of improving the lives of all children. Learn more.
