The Children's Defense Fund's "Accidents Happen" Video

Release Date: June 10, 2009

"Accidents Happen," is the first video in a series of four aimed at engaging the public on the issue of children's health coverage and urging Congress to enact comprehensive reform to provide quality, affordable health coverage to all people, especially children—this year. Each video highlights one of the principles CDF is urging lawmakers to include in health care reform legislation.

Accidents happen and children get sick and injured. Whether it's a bad scrape or something much more serious, children need a health care system that makes them better – not one that could leave their families worse off with high medical bills. Real health care reform will provide a uniquely American solution to provide families with the peace of mind that if accidents do happen, they will be able to afford the health care their child needs.
