Study: MCS Suspends Black Students More Often than Others

A UCLA study shows a severe disparity in the suspensions of black students in comparison with the counterparts of other races and ethnicities. The study shows Memphis as one of four cities where the suspension disparity is magnified as a "hot spot" city. Black students are suspended more than three times as often as their white classmates, according to the study.
