Fundraiser for Poor Miss. Children Set

Congregations for Children, a faith-based advocacy program for economically disadvantaged Mississippi children, will kick off next week. Congregations for Children is an ecumenical ministry — sponsored by the United Methodist, Catholic, and Episcopal Churches — calling upon people of faith to help improve the future for Mississippi’s poor children.The program leadership will include United Methodists, the Children’s Defense Fund and the Mississippi Economic Policy Center.
