What is the YLNC Virtual Community?
The YLNC Virtual Community is an online space – created just for you – to share stories, updates, tools and the latest information and resources. It is a way for you to stay engaged with CDF, other young leaders and the Children’s Movement. It’s your “one-stop-shop” information, tools and resources that will help you organize, advocate and step forward for children in your community.
The YLNC Virtual Online Community contains a variety of resources including:
- Organizing Center – Whether it’s organizing an event in your community or conducting one-to-ones to start a Students Advocating for Youth (SAY) chapter on your campus, this is the place to go to get the resources, tools and information you need to organize actions in your community or on your campus in support of children.
- Professional Development Center – Need interviewing, networking and resume writing tips? This section provides a variety of useful resources and tools that will aid in your job search and professional development.
- YLNC Interactive Action Map – Find out who’s doing what to step forward for children and where they’re doing it. This interactive map will give you updates on some of the great work young adult leaders are doing across the country on behalf of children. We encourage all YLNC members to submit information to include on the map!
- YLNC Photo and Video Gallery – It’s one thing to hear about the great work young leaders are doing across the country, and it’s another thing to see those actions through pictures and videos. You’ll have the opportunity to check out some of the work your peers are doing in communities across the country and also upload photos of your own work, too.
