HBCU Symposium
January 9, 2009 - January 11, 2009CDF's Haley Farm in Clinton, TN
This event invites student leaders, each representing Student Government Associations (SGAs) from the nation's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to connect with one another, re-visit the history of the 1960's Civil Rights Movement, and develop plans of action to resolve the problems of America's children. Over the weekend, these leaders develop programs designed to improve campus mentoring and initiate advocacy programs that focus on the awareness of children's needs and ensure that students' voices and skills are applied to systemic change.
