16th Annual Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Child Advocacy Ministry
The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Child Advocacy Ministry provides five days of spiritual renewal, continuing education, inter-generational movement-building workshops, and networking as Christians from across the denominational spectrum explore how their Christian faith calls them into ministries of child advocacy and guides, shapes, and sustains them in their work with and for children. -

Women’s Advocacy Action Network Third Annual Advocacy Day
The Women’s Advocacy Action Network will host the Third Annual Advocacy Day at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium. This event will bring together more than 150 child advocates to learn new advocacy skills and meet with legislators to discuss the importance of services such as the Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing Adoptions Act and comprehensive health coverage for children throughout Ohio. -

This conference is a chance for Bridge to Benefits partners from Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota to learn about recent updates to the B2B project, promising B2B screening practices, and B2B work support programs. The conference will also share recent data from CDF Minnesota’s 2009 KIDS COUNT report and make the case for using B2B to make policy changes. -

2009 Minnesota KIDS COUNT Data Book Release
CDF-Minnesota will release the 2009 Minnesota KIDS COUNT Data Book on September 22, 2009. This annual publication provides state data as well as data from all 87 counties on a variety of indicators that show how well Minnesota's children and families are faring. This year's book will also highlight the steep rise in child poverty in the state since 2000. -

This two-day summit in Sacramento, California on February 26-27, 2009 convened more than 500 attendees who shared promising approaches and developed community action plans to stop the funneling of thousands of children down a pipeline to prison. -

CDF-NY's Cradle to Prison Pipeline® Summit, "Connecting the Neighborhood-based Dots"
On February 11, 2009, more than 400 people attended CDF-NY's summit, "Connecting the Neighborhood-based Dots: Promoting Solutions to Dismantle the Pipeline to Prison." The summit focused on public awareness regarding the urgent need to address the systemic issues which are driving children from New York's poorest communities into New York's juvenile detention centers, the need to invest in successful community based alternatives to detention and promising solutions and neighborhood based approaches to dismantling the pipeline.
