Speak Out NOW for Children

The Children’s Defense Fund has launched the Your Truth Aloud! video project so you can tell your elected officials why you believe all children need health coverage now. In this pivotal year we need to send a clear message to all elected officials that we cannot continue to ignore the nearly nine million uninsured children in the United States.

You can join this campaign to get our voices heard in two ways:

1. Tell Your Truth - record and submit your own video.

2. Become a Your Truth Aloud! video project organizer - collect video statements from those in your community.

Your voices and stories are powerful and important and when you join our video project CDF will ensure that lawmakers and their staff see them. Your videos will inspire our lawmakers, and our nation as whole, to take the necessary steps to improve the lives of children and improve the lives of all of us.

1. Tell Your Truth - Tell us why you believe all children need health coverage now by recording and submitting a short video. Recording a video is quick and easy! The instructions are provided below and in our call to action video.

Step #1: Record a short video. Record a video no longer than two minutes where you tell your elected officials why all children need comprehensive health coverage now. Be creative and tell us a story about how lack of health coverage affected you or someone you know as a child. What is most important is that you express why you think health coverage for all children NOW is important. Also, be sure to tell us your first name and your city and state (e.g. "Hi, I'm John from Alexandria, Virginia...") and ensure that you stick to our Video Submission Guidelines.

Step #2: Upload your video. After you've recorded your video, go to YouTube, signup for an account (or login if you already have one) and upload your video.

Step #3: Complete the form below. Provide us with the URL of your video and tell us a little bit about yourself. Feel free to submit more than one video!

Step #4: Visit CDF's YouTube channel. Once we've received your submission, you can check CDF's YouTube channel to see it posted and to view other posted videos. (If you have any questions, please email video@childrensdefense.org.)
