Nicole Hernandez
Youth Development Director


Ms. Nicole Hernandez currently serves as the Youth Development Director and Program Associate in the CDF Minnesota office. Nicole was previously a Family Advocate with Head Start where she worked with families to help establish a positive relationship between home and school.  She also worked for the Brooklyn Center School District as the Youth Enrichment Coordinator. During her tenure she co-wrote and obtained a $1.5 million dollar grant for summer and after-school activities for the entire Brooklyn Center community.  Nicole was part of the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee, Brooklyn Center Police Department Youth Committee and Cultural Diversity Advisory Board. She also served as Brooklyn Center High School Leos Club Adviser.  She has 22 years experience enriching the lives of children through exceptional programs, services and initiatives. She has a B.A. Degree in Family Life and Child Development and a minor in Early Childhood Education from Minnesota State University Mankato and a Master’s Degree in Education from Concordia University.
