Madison Sampson

Madison Sampson is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she graduated with a degree in Anthropology and a concentration in Secondary Education. This past spring interned in the Policy Department at the Children’s Defense Fund, where she is focused on child welfare and early childhood education.  Last semester, Madison spent time overseas in American Samoa as a volunteer teacher which sparked her passion for education reform and public policy. She is particularly interested in learning more about policies that impact low-income families and homeless children and the barriers they face to obtain quality education. As a dedicated child advocate, Madison has committed her summers to serving youth in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, through the CDF Freedom Schools® program.  Madison aspires to become a public official in order to directly impact policy efforts needed to uplift impoverished children.
