Lauren Abrahams

Lauren Abrahams, originally from San Francisco, California, is a junior at Johns Hopkins University pursuing a degree in Sociology and International Studies with a Social Policy minor. Lauren is extremely passionate about children’s rights and feels most content when working to help all children get a fair start. Lauren has served as President of the Refugee Action Project at Johns Hopkins, a program designed to help refugee youth adjust to life in Baltimore. She has also participated in various tutoring programs for disadvantaged children. Last semester, Lauren studied abroad in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and conducted an independent research project on teen pregnancy and family planning. Lauren served as a Policy Research Intern at CDF and plans to continue advocating for children through social policy work.
