Demi Davis

Demi Davis was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. She is a graduating senior studying Environmental Sciences & Policy and Political Science at Duke University. Throughout her undergraduate career, Demi has expressed her passion for child welfare by working for organizations such as America Reads/America Counts and Duke Females Excelling More in Math, Engineering, and Science, where she tutored and mentored young girls. Outside of the academic year, Demi enjoys working with children and their families in the community. She spent last summer in Argentina working with children from low-income backgrounds at the non-profit Fundación Anpuy. She also served in the Children’s Ministry at New Hope Church in Durham. Demi’s passion for serving others dates back to her first job at McDonald’s when she was 14 years old. She served in the Juvenile Justice Department at CDF and appreciates the immense experience that she continues to gain. Demi will be attending law school in the fall where she hopes to concentrate on child welfare as it pertains to environmental and immigration law.
