Shannon Adams

Shannon Adams, a native of Baltimore, is a rising sophomore at Duke University double majoring in psychology and global health, with a focus on maternal and child health. At school, she volunteers with Ronald McDonald House Charities, and works with the Ronald McDonald House Family Room in the Pediatric wing of the Duke Medical Center. She plans to go to medical school and pursue pediatric medicine, and hopes to eventually earn a Master’s degree in public health. As an Archival intern working under the Youth, Leadership, and Development Department in CDF’s National Office in Washington, D.C., she hopes to gain exposure to the world of child health policy and advocacy.
