Molly Carey is currently a third year law student at Notre Dame Law School. I am from Wheaton, Illinois. I obtained my undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
My goal after graduation from law school is to continue working as an advocate for children. I hope to find a position either as a juvenile public defender or in a government or public service role focusing on juvenile justice policy reforms.
I am interning in the Juvenile Justice Policy department where I am helping to develop a report on education in juvenile correctional facilities. I wanted to intern at the Children’s Defense Fund so that I could learn how advocates can affect policy and improve the lives of children at the national level.
