After graduating from University of Maryland as an English major in 2006, Ashley Manning spent two years teaching high school English in Washington, DC as a Teach for America corps member. During that time she completed her Masters in Arts of Teaching at American University. In the fall of 2010 she will be a third year law student at Harvard Law School and hopes to enter education law or policy after graduation.
Ashley is interning in the K-12 Education Department at CDF and is currently researching school resegregation policy.
